From week 30, in the Cointrin studio or by the lake at golden hour. 15 to 20 retouched images, delivered in 3 to 5 days.
When to book
Between week 30 and week 36. The bump is clearly round, and standing for an hour is still comfortable. Before week 28 the silhouette barely reads. After week 37 the baby may arrive before the session.
For an outdoor session I aim for the last slot of the day, when the sun drops behind the far shore and the light stops being harsh. That means a fixed hour, and a new date if the sky is overcast.
Many families follow with the newborn session, between day 5 and day 15. Both are booked together, the newborn date is set once the baby is here.
How it goes
Ninety minutes, two outfits
One outfit that shows the bump, one that dresses it. Bring plain fabrics, no pattern and no logo. The studio has space to change and fix your hair.
Alone, as a couple, with the older children
Partners and older siblings are welcome. Children rarely last more than twenty minutes, so we photograph them first.
Studio or lakeside
The Cointrin studio gives a neutral background and steady light. Outdoors gives backlight and water, and depends on the weather.
