Photographing a place means waiting for the right hour
A facade is photographed when the light crosses it, not when the diary allows. That is the real difference between an architecture image and a property listing snapshot.
I straighten verticals at capture, compose on the lines of the building, and wait. Indoors I mix daylight with the existing fixtures rather than flattening the room with flash. The result looks like what you see walking in, which spares the disappointment of the viewing.

FAQ
What people ask most.
Do you use a drone?
Yes, for overall views, roofs and surroundings. Flights follow FOCA rules and the Geneva airport zones, which constrain a good part of the canton.
Do you replace the sky?
Only if you ask, and I flag it. A replaced sky shows, and on a property for sale it creates a gap with the viewing.
How long on site?
Two to three hours for a flat or a shop. Half a day for a villa, a chalet or a full building with its exteriors.
Do you deliver virtual tours?
That is not my core craft. I deliver photographs and video, and I am happy to work alongside a 360 tour provider when a project calls for one.
Should the property be empty or furnished?
Furnished and tidy always works better: furniture gives scale and tells the story of how the space is used. An empty property photographs well too, provided the light and the perspectives are handled carefully. Allow an hour of preparation before we arrive.
Do you shoot aerial views by drone?
Yes, with a licensed pilot and the permits required in Switzerland. Drone is decisive for a villa, an estate, a construction site or a whole building. Areas close to Geneva airport need prior clearance, so allow a few days.
Do you correct verticals and window colour?
Yes, as standard. Lines are straightened and windows are treated separately so the view outside stays readable instead of burning out to white. That is what separates a real estate photograph from a viewing snapshot.
How many photographs for a four room apartment?
Fifteen to twenty five retouched images, covering every room, the wide views, the outdoor space and two or three details. Beyond that the listing loses its impact.
Do you photograph offices and retail spaces?
Yes. Offices, coworking, practices, shops and reception areas. For an occupied space we work early in the morning or at the end of the day so staff do not appear in frame.
Do you offer virtual tours and floor plans?
Virtual tours and 2D or 3D plans can be ordered with the shoot. It is the combination of photographs, plan and tour that makes the difference on listing portals.
What is the best time of day to photograph a property?
It depends on the aspect. A south facing facade shoots in the morning, a west facing terrace at the end of the day. Twilight views with the lights on are the most clicked on listings: they are shot in twenty minutes right after sunset.
