What film keeps and photography cannot
A wedding videographer in Geneva is there to record what is said, not only what is seen. In ten years you will remember the dress. You will not remember the exact sound of her voice during the vows, or what your witness said just before everyone burst out laughing.
I film in the same place and at the same moment as the photography, with a microphone on each of you and a recorder at the lectern. Sound is what separates a real wedding film from a reel of silent footage over a stock track.

The film
Five to eight minutes, cut in the order of the day, with live sound from the ceremony and the speeches.
The teaser
Sixty to ninety seconds, vertical, ready for Instagram and WhatsApp, delivered before the full film.
The sound
Lavalier microphones on both of you and a recorder at the lectern. The vows are audible, not guessed at.
Aerial views
The venue, the arrival, the exit, where the zone and the permits allow it.
What it costs
The film of the day starts at CHF 1,890 net, for four hours of coverage, a five to eight minute edit, the vertical teaser and live sound from the ceremony. The edit is delivered in two to three weeks, the teaser sooner.

The film is yours
You hold the film with no time or territory limit. Chinou Eye publishes no extract, on this site or on social, without your prior written agreement.
And the photographs?
A film does not replace the print you hang on a wall. The photo coverage is a separate service, shot on the same day, by the same studio, from the same location scout.

What couples ask
How much does a wedding videographer in Geneva cost?
The film of the day starts at CHF 1,890 net, for four hours of filming, a five to eight minute edit, a vertical teaser and live sound from the ceremony. Each additional hour is CHF 390.
How long is the film?
Five to eight minutes for the main edit, which is the length that actually gets rewatched. Any longer and it comes out of the drawer once. The sixty to ninety second vertical teaser is for social and for family.
How long until it is delivered?
Two to three weeks for the full edit. The teaser goes out sooner, usually within the week following the wedding.
Is the sound of the vows recorded?
Yes, with a lavalier microphone on each of you and a recorder at the lectern. That is what separates a wedding film from an animated slideshow.
Can we have photography and film on the same day?
Yes, and it is the most common setup. Depending on the size of the wedding I work alone with two bodies, or with an extra operator so the camera never takes over from the stills.
Can we have drone footage?
Yes, where the venue and the permits allow, for CHF 450. A large part of the canton sits in the airport zone, so feasibility is checked against the exact address before anything is promised.
Is the film in the background a real wedding?
No, it is a demonstration film cut to show the treatment, the grade and the pacing. The footage does not come from a client wedding. Real coverage will replace this demo as soon as it is delivered.
How many people film on the wedding day?
One operator for a standard day, two as soon as the ceremony and the preparations overlap or the venue holds more than a hundred guests. The second angle changes the ceremony and the grand entrance most of all.
Can we have a short version for Instagram?
Yes, and it is included. A one minute vertical cut, edited to work without sound, comes with the long film. It is the one your guests share the next day.
Can we choose the music?
Yes, from the licensed library we use, or with a track you supply if you hold the rights. Commercial music without clearance blocks publication on YouTube and Instagram, and we tell you that before, not after.
Do you record the speeches and the whole evening?
Speeches are recorded in full, with a microphone on the speaker, and you receive the complete version alongside the edited excerpts. The evening is covered until the time agreed in the quote, extendable on the night.
In what format is the film delivered?
As a high definition MP4, downloadable and without watermark, plus a streaming link to share with family. 4K is available on request. Raw footage can be handed over on a drive as an option.
Can we have a quick teaser after the wedding?
Yes. A thirty to sixty second teaser delivered within forty eight to seventy two hours, while everyone is still talking about it. The full film follows within the time set in the quote.
Do you film outside Geneva and abroad?
Yes, across French speaking Switzerland, in neighbouring France and abroad. Travel and accommodation are added to the quote, the rest of the service is identical.
