A professional portrait has a job to do: make someone want to pick up the phone. Neither an ID photo nor a magazine pose. The eyes have to be available and the frame has to look like your trade.
The aim is not to make you pose, it is to make you forget there is a camera. I guide, I talk, I let the tension drop, and I shoot between the instructions rather than during. The best frames almost always arrive after the words “that's a wrap”.

Who is this session for?

How much does a portrait session cost?
From CHF 300 per session. The short studio format takes half an hour, with two outfits and three to five retouched images. Longer sessions, outdoors or at your place, are quoted on request.
I am not comfortable in front of a camera. Is that a problem?
Most people are not. I guide, I talk, I let the tension drop, and I shoot between instructions rather than during them. The best images almost always come after the words “we are done”.
Where does the session happen?
In the Cointrin studio, five minutes from the airport, or somewhere that looks like you: your workshop, your practice, a street in Geneva. The studio is fastest, a location tells more.
What should I wear?
What you would wear on a day you want to be seen. I send a short preparation note before the session, with what works and what causes trouble on camera.
How many retouched images will I get?
Three to five retouched images for the short format. The whole selection stays visible in the private gallery and you can add more.
Is make up included?
Light anti shine make up is available on request. For a press photo, a poster or a campaign it is worth it. For a LinkedIn profile a matting powder is usually enough.
Which formats will I receive?
Every portrait is delivered square for LinkedIn and social, vertical for Instagram and the website, and at full resolution for press and print.
Do you shoot portraits for CVs and applications?
Yes, as an individual session at the studio. Allow half an hour, two outfits and three to five retouched images. It is the most requested format among candidates and freelancers in Geneva.
